The Beijing-Tianjin Intercity rail line is China’s first HSR with fully independent intellectual property rights. Completion of the rail line showed that China became able to design and construct the ballastless track, and it also provided the technical standards and specifications for the ballastless track used in the country. The project was the winner of China Construction Engineering Luban Prize for 2020-2021, China Civil Engineering Zhan Tianyou Award, and the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. The railway was also included on the list of “100 classic and quality projects” in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of New China.
