A 500-meter-long rail was welded along the Vientiane-Boten section of the China-Laos railway on August 2. It marked another success after the railway track laying for the emergency project connecting Vientiane and south Vientiane, and another step closer to the opening of the China-Laos railway at the end of the year.

The project team for the Boten-Vientiane railway sent by the Xinyun Engineering Company of the China Railway No.2 Engineering Group Co., Ltd. started equipment adjusting and testing in May 2020. Over the past 15 months since the welding operation began on June 18, 2020, the team finished the welding of 1,844 adapters.
